SqlMyTunes will export your iTunes library to SQL and allow you to create playlists automatically, as well as perform updates, using stored procedures.

Examples include creating a duplicates playlist, auto-updating Total Disc # and Total Track # counts, getting rid of those annoying "ghost" star ratings, creating an Albums Recently Played playlist, or you may want to quickly create a playlist for every artist that has more than five tracks that have been rated over three-stars.

Anything is possible!

MC & iTunes Synchronizer v5.4 released!

The latest version of MCiS improves the speed of creating playlists in iTunes. This is very noticeable if you have a lot of iTunes playlists. There are a couple of bug fixes in there also.

  • Improved: Playlist creation speed in iTunes
  • Fixed: When /StartSync specified as a command line argument, this sometimes produced a crash in Windows 7
  • Fixed: Playlists were sometimes created in the wrong folder in iTunes, where two playlist folders existed with the same name
  • Removed: /LibraryIndex and /LibraryPath parameters, only /LibraryName is necessary
  • Fixed: Log was being created from where MCiS was executed, now it is always created in the MCiS folder

Thanks to all those using MCiS

Thanks to all those who have supported the development of MC & iTunes Synchronizer. There were a lot of great ideas that led to it being the fantasticly useful product it is for those of us trying to use our locked-down Apple products with J River's excellent Media Center product.

Unfortunately, I can no longer support MCiS for free, so all new versions are trialware for 30 days, after which please register. Of course, all those who have before today kindly donated to the cause will receive a license key in their email box shortly. Many thanks!

MC & iTunes Synchronizer v5.3 released!

  • Added: Support for half star ratings in iTunes, these ratings are rounded down in MC (e.g. 3½ in iTunes becomes 3 in MC) though they can be accessed in the MC fields [iTunesRatingSync] and [iTunesAlbumRating]
  • Added: Added elimination in iTunes of "ghost" star ratings (a by-product of Album Ratings)

MC & iTunes Synchronizer v5.2 released!

  • Added: It's now possible to manage "Ticked" tracks in iTunes. If a playlist is set to "Untick" then the tracks in it will be unticked in iTunes. Any tracks not in an "Untick" playlist will be ticked. A track that is in both a playlist marked and a playlist not marked "Untick" will be unticked in iTunes. The "Calculated Rating" string in the iTunes Category for zero rated tracks has been removed from this build.
